| MCCEA History ProjectFounded in May of 1969, the Mott Community College Education Association has been a progressive force on this campus for nearly 30 years. At the January 1998 Board of Directors meeting, the MCCEA agreed to form a History Committee to work on a special project for the 30-year anniversary of the Association. This page will be a clearinghouse of the work of that committee.

| EA History CommitteeLeonard Meizlish, a political science professor hired in 1962, is the most senior member of the EA Board and was a leader in the move to organize the union with the AFT. Paul Rozycki, also a political science professor, is the author of the EA's 25 Year History, as well as a comprehensive history of the College. Jan McFarlane, professor of history, is on the steering committee for the Flint Labor Institute's oral history project. Steve Robinson, the current EA president, is profoundly interested in the EA's history, and he hopes to document it in a multimedia format to commemorate the 30th anniversary.
